Ingleton Swimming Pool is open
During hot weather we get booked up very quickly, so we recommend booking online for sessions using the buttons below.
Check the Opening Times page for an up-to-date list of all our sessions and classes.
More information and to book see Events.
If a session on the booking system is showing 0, it means it is already full and we won’t have any more spaces available.
Please be advised that booking confirmation emails might go to your spam folder. If you don’t see it immediately, please check there.
Pre-book your swim: We accept walk ups, but they are subject to availability, so to avoid disappointment and guarantee a swim, please book ahead with our online booking system.
To check when the pool is open, please look at the Opening Times.
Can’t see any available sessions? If you can’t see a particular session to book on the system, it means that it is already sold out. There won’t be any further spaces for walk ups at the pool.
Become a Member: You can purchase membership when you visit the pool or online.
Please Note: We are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or non arrival for a booking made via the online booking system.
Everyone involved with keeping the pool running is a volunteer. We would welcome anyone who can help with ongoing work, including cleaning and pool maintenance or anyone who would be willing to join our committee.
If you’re able to help at the pool, or would be able to join the committee, please get in touch at management.ingletonpool@gmail.com – we’d love to hear from you!
For the coming season, we would prefer payment by card at the pool. We can take cash payment if necessary.
Storm Closure Procedures
During summer thunderstorms or extreme weather conditions, we may have to temporarily end a swim session or close the pool to ensure customer safety. Please leave the water immediately when ask to do so.
The swimming pool was originally built by local volunteers included miners from the New Ingleton Colliery in 1933. Take a look at our History page for more information.
Today the pool is managed through a committee consisting members of the local community who give their time on a voluntary basis.
Ingleton Swimming Pool is a registered charity (Ingleton Rural Community Association Charitable Incorporated Organisation No: 1171743) and all monies raised by our activities are put back into the running of the pool to keep this very unique facility open for use to the general public.
The pool is located near the centre of the village, in the riverside park down the hill from Ingleton Youth Hostel (LA6 3EG) on Sammy Lane.
